Talib Kweli

 Kweli was born in Brooklyn, New York City. He was raised in Brooklyn's Park Slope. His mother, Brenda Greene is an English professor at Medgar Evers College of New York, and his father is an administrator at Adelphi University. Jamal Greene is his younger brother, and Professor of Constitutional Law at Columbia Law School. He is also a graduate of Harvard University and Yale Law School. Jamal was once an assistant to Justice John Paul Stevens. Kweli was a student at Cheshire Academy, a Connecticut boarder school. Kweli was a former student at Brooklyn Technical High School. He was a theatre student at New York University.
