Suge Knight

Marion Hugh "Suge" Knight Jr. born on April 19th, 1965 was an American former music executive and an inmate who was convicted of a crime. The former executive was the co-founder of Death Row Records and its former CEO. Knight is widely recognized as an important figure in the gangsta rappers' commercial success during the 90s. He was found guilty of being a felon, and was the co-founded and was the former director of the company Death Row Records. In 1995, Tupac Shakur began serving up to four years in prison. Knight was signed by Shakur to Death Row Records in October 1995. He paid the bail and then released the rapper from prison, while awaiting an appeal. The label released Shakur's most commercially successful album"All Eyez on Me, in 1996. After leaving the Mike Tyson boxing match at Las Vegas, Shakur and Knight were able to attack Orlando Anderson, a Southside Compton Crips member. After three hours, Shakur was killed by an attacker who walked into the car Knight was driving. Knight sustained minor injuries during the assault. Dr. Dre quit Death Row Records shortly before Shakur's death, and was then followed by Snoop Dogg two years afterward. The label soon retreated. It was discovered that Knight was using violence and intimidation in his commercial transactions, and not only to recruit the gang members. Knight was imprisoned in the late 1990s until the beginning of 2000 for assault convictions, as infractions of parole or probation. Knight admitted guilt to voluntary manslaughter in a fatal hit-and-run , and was sentenced to 28 years. Knight is qualified to be released in the month of October 2034. Knight is an important suspect in the killing of the Notorious B.I.G.
