Jennifer Anne Garner was born on the 17th of April, 1972. She is best known for her role of Sydney Bristow, CIA officer in ABC's action-packed spy thriller series Alias (2001 - 2006) and her romantic comedy 13 Going on 30 (2004). She has received several awards including an Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award with nominations for four Primetime Emmy Awards.Jennifer was born in Houston, Texas, and raised in Charleston, West Virginia, Garner studied theater at Denison University and began acting as an understudy for the Roundabout Theatre Company in New York City. She made her screen debut in the TV adaptation of Danielle Steel's romance novel Zoya in 1995. There were guest appearances on television as well as supporting roles in films in addition to an appearance on the teen drama television series Time of Your Life (1999-2000) as well as a role of support in the war drama Pearl Harbor (2001).Garner gained recognition for her leading performance as CIA officer Sydney Bristow in the ABC spy-action thriller television show Alias (2001-2006). The actress was awarded four Primetime Emmy Awards, including the Outstanding Leading Actress in the Drama Series and the Golden Globe for Best Actress Television Series Drama.
