Julian Newman

 In the fall of 2012, after having attended public schools for the first time, Newman transferred to Downey Christian School which is a tiny private school located in Orlando, Florida, after his father began instructing basketball and the subject of history at the school. Newman began playing basketball in the fifth grade, and was a member of the middle school team. However, after a quick rise to successes, scoring as much as 91 points during a game, he was promoted to the team's varsity. His team played outside of the regulations of the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA). The 11-year-old point guard, Newman stood 4 ft 5 inches (1.35 m) and weighed in at 70lbs. [6] He wore the smallest uniform available however he was required tie his shoulders with a hair tie. To prevent his shorts from falling off, he also had to roll his waistband. He averaged 12.4 points and 11 assists in his three first starts. Sixteen was the leader of Downey Christian's 21-6 record and was the top player in Florida in assists.
