Graham McTavish

McTavish was a Scottish citizen. McTavish is the son Alec and Ellen McTavish. His family was active politically, particularly his father. Political discourse was common in their household. McTavish's parents moved to Glasgow to New Zealand when he was a youngster. He has lived all over the globe, including Canada and the United States and England, before settling in New Zealand. During the school year, McTavish and a friend were able to write and perform comedy sketches, which led to the drama teacher asking him to step in to cover a role in Sheridan's The Rivals after the principal actor became ill. McTavish then went on to Queen Mary University of London, earning a degree in English literature. The degree program allowed him to participate in three Shakespeare productions per year at university, which it led to McTavish earning his Equity card after performing in a show by Samuel Becke
