Kelly Reilly

Reilly sent an email to Prime Suspect producers to request the production team to consider. Helen Mirren was the main character in Prime Suspect. A few months later, she auditioned for a role in "Prime Suspect 4: Inner Circle", which aired on ITV on 7 May 1995. She starred in an episode of Bramwell, a period drama TV series that was filmed in the UK. A few years later, she was as a co-star with Mirren in the movie The Last Orders. Her first professional role was followed by a series of performances on the English stage. She worked with Terry Johnson in four productions that included Elton John's Glasses (1997), The London Cuckolds (1998), The Graduate (2000) and Piano/Forte (2006). Seventeen Johnson composed Piano/Forte and said she was a big fan of Kelly. "Reilly stated she believed that Karel Reisz was the one who taught her the most about acting. He was her director in The Yalta Game, Dublin 2001. She stated, "He was my masterclass. Without that play it's impossible I would have gotten the part of Miss Julie. "By 2000, Reilly felt she was being stereotyped in comedy roles and was actively seeking a role as the young Amy in the play Last Orders, directed by Fred Schepisi. The film was followed by a part in the Royal Court's 2001 rerun Sarah Kane's Blasted. The Times called her "theatrical Viagra". In 2002, Reilly starred with Audrey Tautou (Russian Dolls) in the role of Wendy, an English Erasmus student in the film L'Auberge espagnole. In the 2005 sequel Les Poupees russes she reprised her role as Wendy in the comedic film L'Auberge Spanishe (The Spanish Apartment). She also appeared in the 2013 sequel Casse-tete chinois (Chinese Puzzle). In 2005, Reilly also appeared in films such as Mrs Henderson Presents (Russian Dolls) and Pride & Prejudice.
