Mele was born in Glenside (PA) to Roseanne Zlemek and Thomas Mele. In high school she was employed as a clerk at an ice cream shop. In 2005, Mele graduated with a B.A. Mele graduated from La Salle University with a B.A. in communications and arts. She completed her studies at La Salle University in Philadelphia with a degree in communications and arts. On the 29th of October, 2021, Mele announced that she was departing Fox News to return to La Salle University to pursue an advanced degree. Mele declared that she was focused on her personal life. Mele is currently studying at La Salle University. In 2022, she was offered a job at WPVI-TV, Philadelphia.
