Elizabeth Hurley

 Hurley briefly appeared in 1988 as a student in "Last Seen Wearing", an episode on the show detective Inspector Morse. Part of it was filmed at Reading Blue Coat [citation neededThe Reading Blue Coat [citation needed] Sonning in Berkshire. This is believed to have been her first appearance on television. The same year, she also appeared as Rosie Japhet in an episode of Rumpole of the Bailey (Rumpole and the Barrow Boy). In the latter half of 1988, Hurley portrayed the title character in a series of drama for television called Christabel. After appearing in John Cleese's The Human Face (2001) and hosting the first season of the British reality show Project Catwalk on Sky 1 in 2006. Hurley was criticised as a presenter by Marcelle D'Argy Smith, who was the editor at Cosmopolitan magazine, who said: "Liz Hurley has no background in fashion. She dressed in a dress and been seen at premieres." GQ's Dylan Jones defended her as an individual "immersed in the fashion world as a celeb. "[citation required] She was dropped after one series due to her bosses' belief that she was wooden.In 2011 Hurley filmed a guest lead role in the pilot episode of NBC's Wonder Woman as the villain Veronica Cale. The series was not taken on by the network. Hurley was announced in July 2011 to join Gossip Girl's fifth season for a multi-episode run. Her character, Diana Payne, was described by the series' executive producers as "a sexy, smart, self-made media mogul and all-around force to be reckoned with", whose "entrance on the Upper East Side will change the lives of all our characters--including, and especially, Gossip Girl herself
