Elizabeth Hurley

In 1988, Hurley appeared briefly in speaking roles as a schoolgirl on "Last Seen Wearing", an episode of the series detective Inspector Morse, which was partly filmed at an actual school in Reading Blue Coat, citation needed Sonning, Berkshire. This is believed to have been her first appearance on television. She also played Rosie Japhet on an episode of Rumpole of the Bailey (Rumpole and the Barrow Boy) that year. In late 1988, Hurley portrayed the title character in a television drama called Christabel. After appearing in John Cleese's The Human Face (2001) She hosted the inaugural series of the British reality show Project Catwalk on Sky 1 in 2006. Hurley was criticised for her role as a host by Marcelle D'Argy Smith, the former editor at Cosmopolitan magazine, who said: "Liz Hurley has no previous experience in fashion whatsoever. She wore a dress and was seen at premieres. Dylan Jones, GQ's fashion editor, defended Hurley , saying she was an individual who was "immersed in the world of fashion and style as the world's most famous." Her firing was only for one series. The bosses of her company believed she was too heavy. Hurley filmed a guest role as Veronica Cale in the pilot series of NBC's Wonder Woman. The show was not picked up by the network. In July 2011, it was announced that Hurley would join the fifth season of Gossip Girl for a multi-episode arc. Her character, Diana Payne, was described by the series' executive producers as "a sexy, smart, self-made media mogul and all-around force to be reckoned with", whose "entrance on the Upper East Side will change the lives of all our characters--including, and especially, Gossip Girl herself
