David Hyde Pierce

 American actor David Hyde Pierce was born on April 3, 1959. From 1993 until 2004 he played the character of psychiatrist Dr. Niles Krane on the NBC sitcom Frasier. He was awarded four Primetime Emmy Awards as well as an Screen Actors Guild Award. Pierce was also honored with the 2007 Tony Award for his role as Lieutenant Frank Cioffi, in the musical Curtains. He is most well-known for his character of Lieutenant Frank Cioffi in the musical Curtains. He was also in Down with Love (2001) and Osmosis Jones (2001) as well as Treasure Planet (2010). He voiced characters in Disney Pixar's A Bug's Life (1998), Osmosis (2001) and Treasure Planet ((2002)). Pierce also played Broadway parts such as Sir Robin in Monty Python's Spamalot, Vanya, Sonia and Masha, Spike, and Horace Vandergelder, in the 2017 revival of Hello, Dolly! Pierce was nominated for the Tony Award for the two characters in the latter two. He was the director of the Broadway musical It Shoulda Have been You in the year 2015.
