Bilzerian was one of the players at the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event. Bilzerian finished 180th place. Bilzerian placed in the 180th position in the 2008 World Main Event of the Series of Poker. Bilzerian has publicly defended Alex Rodriguez against allegations that gambling was illegal. He claimed that he was present at the time that the gambling event occurred, however Rodriguez wasn't. In November of 2013, Bilzerian was sued by Bradley Ruderman for the winnings of poker games.
