Michael was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He is of Puerto Rican descent and Russian Jewish descent. His professional career as an actor for children began at the age of three, when he started booking print work. When he was five years old, Michael enrolled in the Company Acting Studio in Atlanta. He was found by a talent agent aged six. He was initially cast as a commercial host of Bojangles Famous Chicken with NFL quarterback Jake Delhomme. He was 10 years old when he was asked to host a series of four commercials for Hasbro Toys. These would be aired on Cartoon Network. Cartoon Network invited Michael, following the campaign to host and host his own show. The result was two shows: Fried Dynamite and Dynamite Action Squad, which aired on Fridays. on Saturdays. Blake was featured on the screen in No Limit Kids: Much Ado About Middle School in May 2010. Then, he joined film's main character Celeste Kellogg to sing and compose a duet titled "Looking in Your Eyes". He was also a guest in Kellogg's music video "My Jeans". He was selected to play Charlie Delgado, a co-lead in the Disney Channel movie musical Lemonade Mouth. Disney reached out to Michael shortly thereafter and invited to see if he would be interested in auditioning for a role on an upcoming sitcom. Michael was offered the part as Tyler James on the Disney Channel sitcom Dog with a Blog. The role was played by Michael from 2012 until 2015.
