 His major breakthrough was made in 2018 through his appearance on Cardi B's number one hit track "I Love It" along with J Balvin, and his top ten hit song "Mia" with Drake. The album that he released as his debut was released in December 2018 by Rimas Entertainment, which peaked at 11th place on the US Billboard 200. Then, he released his album of collaboration Oasis together with J Balvin in June 2019 which climbed to number nine on the Billboard 200. Bad Bunny's second album YHLQMDLG came out on February 29th, 2020 and was the top charting all-Spanish album to reach second place on the Billboard 200. The album was followed by the compilation album Las que no iban a salir in May, which climbed to number seven on the chart.In November 2020, Bad Bunny released his fourth album El Ultimo Tour Del Mundo, which combines reggaeton with a Latin trap sound with rock. The album was the first all-Spanish album to be ranked number one on the Billboard 200 and its lead single "Dakiti" was released in the top ten on the US Billboard Hot 100. In May 2022 the fifth album of his career Un Verano Sin Ti released, which became his second top album. It also topped the Billboard 200 Year-End chart, while four of the album's singles peaked in the top ten spots on the Billboard Hot 100. Un Verano Sin Ti was the first Spanish-language album to be nominated for a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year.
