Usain Bolt

 A eight-time Olympic gold medalist, Bolt is the only sprinter to win Olympic 100 and 200 m titles in three consecutive Olympics (2008 2013, 2012 and in 2016). Bolt also took home two 4 100 relay gold medals. He also took home two 4x100 relay gold medals. Bolt is considered to be the World Championships' most successful male athlete. Bolt is the first male athlete to have won four World Championship titles at 200m. Bolt also holds the record in the 100m with three titles. Bolt's record for the 100m in the world was 9.69 seconds. Bolt set it in 2009. It is the greatest improvement since electronic timing was introduced in the year 2000. Bolt has two times broken the 200m world record by setting 19.30 in 2008 and 19.19 in 2009. Bolt has led Jamaica to win three 4x 100 metres relay world records the current record at 36.84 seconds, set in 2012. Bolt's most successful event is the 200 m with three Olympic and four World medals. Bolt's debut in the 100m international race was in the 2008 Olympics. He had earlier won many 200m medals including silver at the 2007 World Championship. Erriyon knighton was the record holder for the event as well as the world under-20 and under-18 records prior to that.
