Kathrin Romany Beckinsale (born 26 July 1973)[1][2][3] is an English model and actress from England. After some minor television roles, her debut film was Much Ado About Nothing (1993) while a student at the University of Oxford. In British costume dramas, like Prince of Jutland (1994), Cold Comfort Farm (95), Emma (1996), Shooting Fish (1997) (a contemporary romantic comedy) and The Golden Bowl ((2000), Beckinsale began film work in the United States in late 1990s. After appearing in smaller-scale dramas The Last Days of Disco (1998) and Brokedown Palace (1999), she starred in the war drama Pearl Harbor (2001), the romantic comedy Serendipity (2001) as well as Tiptoes (2003). After her leading roles in The Aviator (2004), Click (2006) and Click (2006), she also became a major in Click (2006). She was a star in Hollywood with roles in the films The Aviator (2004) and Click (2006). She is still appearing in smaller dramatic projects like Snow Angels (2007), Nothing but the Truth (2008) as well as Everybody's Fine (2009). The two films she received positive reviews. In 2016, she received critical acclaim for her performance in the period comedy film Love & Friendship, for which she was nominated for the Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Actress in the Comedy. She returned in action films with Jolt (2021). She also appeared in two television shows with Jolt (2021) and The Widow (2019).
