Eric Lynn Wright (September 7 1964 [2 - March 26 in 1995) also known as Eazy-E, was an American rapper who helped propel West Coast rap and gangsta hip-hop by directing the group N.W.A as well as its label, Ruthless Records. The rapper is frequently referred to as the "Godfather of Gangsta Rap"Born and raised in Compton, California, Wright had several legal troubles before the creation of Ruthless in 1987. Wright was a solo artist for a short time, but he was often working with Dr. Dre and Ice Cube. They joined teams to create N.W.A in the year following. N.W.A's debut studio album, Straight Outta Compton, was released in 1988. It was a source of controversy upon its release, but is now ranked among the greatest and most influential albums ever. In 1991 the group released their album Niggaz4Life which was its third and final studio album. Soon after, N.W.A disbanded. Eazy-E was also involved in bitter rivalries between himself as well as Ice Cube and Dr. Dre, who parted ways for solo careers in 1989 and 1991, respectively. In his return to solo work, Eazy-E released two EPs. He was still a significant person behind the scenes. From 1993 until 1994, he joined and made a nationalization of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. In 1995, Eazy-E was suddenly hospitalized and diagnosed with AIDS and passed away due to its complications.
