Susan Sarandon

 Susan Abigail Sarandon (/s@'raend@n/ (born on October 4, 1946)[1] is an American actor, activist and actor. She is the recipient of numerous awards such as an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award and an Screen Actors Guild Award, as well as nominations for an Daytime Emmy Award, six Primetime Emmy Awards, and nine Golden Globe Awards. In 2002, she was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her contributions to the film industry.Sarandon began her acting career in the drama film Joe (1970), before acting in the soap-opera A World Apart (1970-1971). In 1974, she co-starred as a Zelda Fitzgerald surrogate in the TV film F. Scott Fitzgerald and 'The Last of the Belles'. The following year, she was featured in the role of Janet Weiss in the musical comedy horror film The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Following her nominations for her roles in Thelma &Louise (1991) and Thelma & Louie (1991) and Lorenzo's Oil (1992) as well as Dead Man Walking (1994), Sarandon won the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading role for Atlantic City (1980), Thelma &Louise (1991) and The Client (1994). She also received the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in an Leading Role for The Client, and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actress for Dead Man Walking. Other films she's directed include Pretty Baby (1978), The Hunger (83), The Witches of Eastwick (87), Bull Durham (1988), White Palace (90), Little Women (1996), James and the Giant Peach (1996), Stepmom (1998), Enchanted (2007 and 2008), Speed Racer (2008) and The Lovely Bones (2009, 2009), Cloud Atlas (2012), Tammy (2014) and The Meddler (2015).
