Self-esteem

 Self-esteem refers to confidence in one's abilities and worth. Self-esteem includes beliefs about oneself, such as "I am loved", or "I'm worthy", as well as emotions like triumph, despair and pride. Smith and Mackie (2007) defined it by saying "The self-concept is what we think about the self Self-esteem refers to the positive or negative evaluations of self-worth, as in how we feel about it." Since it is able to predict certain outcomes like academic success happiness in relationships, marriage, and criminal behavior self-esteem is a favored psychological construct. Self-esteem could be applied to a specific attribute or globally. Psychologists generally view self-esteem as an enduring personal characteristic (trait-self-esteem) However, there are other regular, short-term fluctuations. Synonyms or near-symbols
