Norm Macdonald

Norman Gene Macdonald was a Canadian actor, comedian, as well as a writer. He passed away on the 14th of September, 2021. Macdonald's stand-up style was characterized by an incredibly very slow, almost stuttering voice and employed old-fashioned twists and phrases. Macdonald was first employed in 1993 to write and a cast participant for Saturday Night Live (SNL). He lasted for five seasons on the show, which included hosting the Weekend Update segment for three-and-a-half seasons. In 1998, Macdonald was dismissed from his position as Weekend Update host on SNL. The show was accused of ridiculing O. J. Simpson's murder trial. The incident offended Don Ohlmeyer who Simpson was close to. Macdonald was dismissed from SNL in 1998. Following that Macdonald wrote and starred in the sitcom Dirty Work. From 1999 until 2001, he hosted his own sitcom, The Norm Show. Macdonald was also a voice actor and actor actor. He voiced parts in Family Guy and The Fairly OddParents and also in Mike Tyson Mysteries and The Orville.
