Newlywed

According to studies, "early in marriage, newlyweds are extremely in love, and relatively free of conflict," a state commonly known as "blissful harmony". The "high levels" of love and devotion experienced by newlyweds are "relatively stable in the initial year after marriage." The marital relationship (as as opposed to other family relationships, friendships, or work relations) is the most important relationship in causing happiness in newlyweds.Perhaps contrary to what people believe or stereotypes, erotic love is not a major element in the happiness of a lot of newlyweds. The newlyweds experience the "happiness increase" that lasts for the first two years of marriage on average after which levels of happiness returning to pre-marriage levels. A lot of newlyweds experience feelings like joy, a boost in self-esteem, as well as an increased sense of security following the beginning of their marriage.
