 Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, born on February 15, 1995, is a popular American rapper. Her birthplace is Houston, Texas. Her freestyle videos gained a lot of attention on social media platforms such as Instagram. Megan Thee Stallion was signed to 300 Entertainment in 2018. The mixtape was released in 1999. Fever (1999) as well as the extended play Suga (2020) and both made it to the top ten on the Billboard 200. Her debut studio album Good News (2020), with great critical acclaim. With her remix to "Savage" that she performed with Beyonce as well as her performance on Cardi B's "WAP" single which was her first and second top-ten singles on the US Billboard Hot 100. This was also her first top 1 in other countries as well as the Billboard Global 200 charts. Doja Cat also appeared in Doja Cat's remix to Ariana Grande's single "34+35" in 2021. The song reached number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album was followed by her first compilation album, Something For Thee Hotties (2021), which climbed to the top ten spots of the Billboard 200 and produced the single "Thot Shit" and for which she was awarded an Grammy Award nomination for Best Rap Performance. Megan Thee Stallion was also the victim in July of 2020 of a shooting incident in Hollywood Hills by Tory Lanez. Good News, her debut album, included the shooting as a major factor. Lanez was found guilty and tried in connection with her assault on Megan Thee Stallion in December 2022. She was the second female rapper to be awarded the award for Best New actress at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards. Time listed her as one of the top 100 influential people globally in 2020. She has been determined to pursue her education and completed her studies at Texas Southern University in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in Health Administration.
