If a storage facility remains empty for longer than 3 months, it could be auctioned off with a single lot for an auction that is cash-only. The show is a showcase for professional buyers who go to storage locations throughout the state in order to place bids on the lockers. Buyers are permitted to look at every locker from the front door for five minutes prior to when they put it on auction. But they are not allowed to not touch the items nor access the storage unit. The auctions for the day have concluded. The winners go through the lockers and determine the value they'll place on every item. Experts can also be asked to appraise odd objects. The show concludes with a breakdown of the net loss and profit for the purchasers.
