Piero Piazzi was the very first person to come across Lea T. He signed her when she was 17 years old, before she began her transition. Riccardo Tisci was an experienced senior Givenchy designer, came across her and asked her to assist him. Then she was named the model of Givenchy in the year 2010. The first time she walked the runway took place in January of 2011 in collaboration with Alexandre Herchcovitch, during Sao Paulo Fashion Week. T was the subject of ads for Givenchy and Philipp Plein. Photographed by Terry Richardson. She has also been included in editorials for Vogue Paris and Numero as in Interview as well as Love. T was also featured on the cover of two issues of Love's Spring/Summer issue 2011 issue, one of which featured her as a model in a single pose and the other featuring Kate Moss kissing her. T has appeared on the pages of Elle, Marie Claire and Glamour and also in the editions in the international versions of Marie Claire, Grazia, Grazia, and Glamour. In 2013, T participated in the Italian version of Rai Uno called Ballando con le Stelle. Forbes magazine listed her as one of the 12 female models who have influenced Italian fashion. Lea T was also the model for the American hair care company Redken in the year 2014. In 2014, she took part in the Italian version of Dancing With the Stars on RaiUno. Lea T led the Brazilian team to the stadium by bicycle in the Rio Olympics in 2016. Rio Olympics.
