Morgan was born in Lexington, Kentucky on March 31st, 1956. Morgan is the oldest child of five siblings, Ramon Morgan (and Patricia Morgan). Morgan moved with his family to Florida at the age of fourteen years old. Because his family was struggling financially, Morgan started working at an early age in different jobs. He enrolled at the University of Florida in 1974 and earned a bachelor's in the arts in 1978. He paused for 18 months selling ads to finance his studies at the University of Florida Levin College of Law. [3] He received his Juris Doctor in 1982. While he was studying law, Morgan was elected president of Florida Blue Key society. They were married in May of 1982. Morgan and Ultima Ann Degnan have been the parents of four children.
