LaMelo LaFrance (born on 22nd August, 2001) LaMelo LaFrance (born August 22, 2001) is an American professional basketball player who plays with the Charlotte Hornets (NBA). The Hornets picked him as the third selection overall during the 2020 NBA draft. Ball was named the NBA Rookie-of-the-Year for 2021 and was named as an NBA All-Star in 2022. He was a student at Chino Hills High school in Chino Hills, California. He was a state champion and was a national star in his freshman year along with his brothers Lonzo, and LiAngelo. Following his junior year an argument with his coach prompted him to join Prienai, the Lithuanian professional team Prienai. He was a player in the Junior Basketball Association in 2018 and was founded by his father. In the year 2018, the school he attended returned and was a senior at SPIRE Academy in Geneva. Ball was a five-star player who signed with UCLA. However his eligibility issues caused him to take on basketball at the college level in Australia with the Illawarra Hawks (NBL). In the year 2019, he saw an incredible rise from being snubbed by scouts, and perhaps not playing in the NBA to being considered the first overall selection of the 2020 NBA draft. He also took home NBL Rookie of the Year. In the year 2020, he was a part of Charlotte for the NBA.
