Annastacia Palaszczuk

 Annastacia Palszczuk (//'pael@SeI/"PAL-@/sha" Polish pronunciation Annastacia Pa'wastsuk, born on July 25, 1969 in Queensland) is an Australian politician from Australia. She is the 39th Premier of Queensland since the year 2015. In 2012, she has been the head of the Queensland branch of the Australian Labour Party (ALP). Prior to being elected to the Legislative Assembly of Queensland, she worked as an attorney and a political advisor. Her father was Henry Palaszczuk as the seat of Inala. From 2009 until 2012, Palaszczuk was in a variety of posts within the Bligh government. That was the time when Queensland Labor suffered an historic loss. Palaszczuk was one of seven Labor Assembly members who was unopposed to become the leader of Queensland Labor and became the Leader of the Opposition. She is the first woman to be the state premier of opposition in Australian history. She also became the first woman in Australia to head a majority-female government. She also was able to lead Labor to higher majority in the election of 2017 and in the in the 2020 election. She became the first female premier in Australia to be elected for three consecutive terms.
