While working with Alex Pina in Vis a Vis the producer contacted her to inquire if she was interested in being a part of his new show La Casa de Papel (Money Heist). She did not go through an audition. Instead, Pina wrote a role specifically for her to play one of the bank robbers on the show nicknamed Nairobi as a specialist in counterfeiting and forgery, as well as the Quality Control Manager for the team who is in charge of printing the cash in Parts One and Two as well as supervising the melting of gold in Parts Three and Four. The show ended after one season. Netflix bought the Global Streaming rights to the show in late 2017. Money Heist has gained international attention from critics and is currently the most watched non-English series on Netflix. Due to the immense popularity of the show worldwide, Netflix, ordered additional seasons, prompting the writers, producers, and the cast to come back to the series. The show received critical acclaim for its clever plot and captivating characters as well as winning several awards including best drama series at the International Emmy Awards. The role of Nairobi gained her international recognition along with numerous acting citations. She was nominated for several awards including the Iris Award for Best Actress and numerous nominations for her role as Nairobi.
