10 most expensive homes

London is home to the most expensive home in the world which was owned by Queen Elizabeth II! The price tag for an extravagant house which is, in this case, a palace no less than a million dollars, can be soaring to $1 billion. Consider it ironic or fact being stranger than fiction, but the second-highest cost property on the planet is in India and is owned by Mukesh Ambani. His 27-storey Antilia located in Mumbai's Cumballa Hill, was built in the year 2010 at an estimated price of $1-2 billion. Since the Buckingham Palace is Crown property, Ambani's Antilia is in fact the highest-priced private residential home anywhere in the world. A few uber-rich buyers, like Brazilian-born philanthropist Lily Safra, purchase historic estates to renovate them according to their preferences, sort of like creating their own Helipad. Some go one step further and construct a palace from scratch for example, like the Villa Les Cedres in the French Riviera, which was constructed for King Benedict. We've put together some of the world's most expensive homes. Some of them are so big that they require an individual pin code. We're not convinced. Below are the top 10 most expensive residences in the world.
