Mossimo Giannulli

 Giannulli was raised in Los Angeles by parents Gene Giannulli (an architect) and Nancy Giannulli (a homemaker). Giannulli was born in Encino, California. 3rd grade the student changed his initial name to Mossimo upon the suggestion of a teacher who insisted it was easier to pronounce.According to various sources, after graduating from high school, he enrolled in architecture and business at the University of Southern California for three years, before leaving in 1987. after the college entrance scandal in which Giannulli was implicated, however, CNN reported that Giannulli tricked his father into giving the money to pay for tuition (which was used to finance his business selling t-shirts) and also falsified reports while his actual experience at the university consisting only of being a student at "USC during the spring semester in 1984, but not as a fully matriculated student. He was in the College of Continuing Education, which was a program open to all students "with no formal admission requirements". However the student was allowed to reside within the Beta Theta Pi fraternity home, which, according to a fraternity spokesman, was because it was not unusual for students who were not matriculating to be associated with the fraternity.
