Marie Osmond

 Marie was among the nine Osmond siblings that wasn't involved in the business of music. Tom Osmond was the other. (Virl Osmond, the hearing-impaired older brother, was working in the background to develop dance routines. Donny was a star when he was a teenager following the Osmonds first success in the year 1970. Marie was urged by the Osmonds mother to make an album. She signed with MGM/Kolob Records, and started performing in concert with her brothers. Marie's music targeted an audience that the Osmonds hadn't yet achieved the country music market. Marie's brothers were already performing rock music by the year 1972. The first Osmond single, "Paper Roses", was released in 1973. It was a number. The song was an No. 1 hit for the country and climbed to the Top 5 of the Billboard pop charts. The song also enjoyed the status of a crossover hit. The album that had the same name also earned the gold record. In 1974, she dropped "In My Little Corner of the Globe" as well as an album with the same title. Both made it to the Billboard country Top 40. The album she released in 1975, Who's Sorry Now included the title track. It reached the top spot at No. 40. In 1974, Osmond also had two pop duets that were hits: "I'm leaving it all up to you" and "Morning Side of the Mountain". Both the former and latter songs made it to the Top 10 on the pop charts, while the latter was an Top 20 hit in country. The duet of Donny "Deep Purple" was a hit that was on the charts for 6 months hit its highest point and became an enormous hit.
