McGrady started her modeling career at age 15 as straight-sized model. McGrady began modeling in the plus-size category at age 19 after she was unable to meet the 00 standards that her agency had set. She was just 16 and was the first model to be included in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. McGrady was the first plus-sized model to be featured on The Knot's cover in the year 2019. McGrady was born in Los Angeles to American actor Michael McGrady, and model Brynja McGrady. Michaela McGrady, who is a fellow model, is her elder sister. Model Citizen is a podcast which the sisters host. The podcast is titled Model Citizen. Tynan, her younger brother, was killed in a car crash in 2021. Brian Keys, an advertising executive, got married to McGrady in the year 2019. The couple had their first child in the year 2019.
