 Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanyotta (listen), STEF JUR'-NOT--@, born March 28th, 1986, is an American actor, singer and songwriter. Her fame is based on her image reinventions and musical versatility. Gaga started singing when she was an teen. She performed at open mics and performed in school productions. She attended Collaborative Arts Project 21, through the New York University Tisch School of the Arts prior to leaving to pursue an enviable career in music. After Def Jam Recordings canceled her contract, she worked as a songwriter for Sony/ATV Music Publishing, where she signed a joint agreement with Interscope Records and KonLive Distribution, in 2007. Gaga was able to make her breakthrough next year, through her first studio album, The Fame, and its chart-topping songs "Just Dance" and "Poker Face". The album was reissued along with the extended show The Fame Monster (2008) that produced the smash singles "Bad Romance", Telephone, and Alejandro. Born This Way (2011) was her second album that was full-length, was a mix of electronic rock and techno-pop. It sold over 1 million copies in its first week. With more than one million downloads in a matter of weeks, the album's title song was the iTunes Store's most-sold song. After her third album with an EDM influence, Artpop (2013), and the lead track "Applause", Gaga released the jazz album Cheek To Cheek (2014) together with Tony Bennett, and the soft rock album Joanne (2016). Gaga ventured into acting and won awards for her roles in the mini-series American Horror Story Hotel (2015-2016) and the musical A Star Is Born (2018). Her contribution to the film's soundtrack, which produced the top charting single "Shallow" was what was the first female to be awarded the Academy Award, BAFTA Award, Golden Globe Award, and Grammy Award in one year. Gaga returned to dance-pop in her sixth studio album Chromatica (2020) that yielded the number-one single "Rain on Me". The album was followed by Love for Sale (her second album together with Bennett) as well as she was cast as the lead in House of Gucci in 2021.
