Hayley Atwell

 Hayley Elizabeth Atwell, who was born on on 5 April 1982 in London, is an American and British actress. She was born and raised in London, Atwell studied acting at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and made her debut on stage in the 2005 production of James Kerr's interpretation of the Ancient Greek tragedy Prometheus Bound. She was a regular on the West End and television. She was best known for her performance as Lady Elizabeth Foster, in The Duchess (2008). In this role, she was nominated to the British Independent Film Award. She was also nominated for the Golden Globe Award as Best Actress in a Miniseries or Television Film for her performance in The Pillars of the Earth (2010). Her performance as Agent Peggy Carter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe superhero movie Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) brought her international recognition. In addition to other live-action and animated movies, she also played the character as Lady Elizabeth Foster in The Duchess (2008). Atwell also appeared in the war drama Testament of Youth (2014) as well as the romantic comedy Cinderella (2015). The actress was also nominated for the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress in A View from the Bridge (2010) and Best Actress for her performance in Rosmersholm (2013). In 2020, Atwell began hosting the podcast series True Spies, which aims to offer a look into the world of espionage by asking listeners to describe what they'd do in real-world spying situations.
