Canada is the country where Tonie was born and raised. Tonie has a rich theatre background. At 16 years old she was named "Top Teen Actor in the Provence." This honor was awarded to her, without doubt due to her experience as a gifted protege, who at the age of 13 was chosen to participate in an unorthodox program that involved her working with the elite few University of Alberta BFA Grad students. The program was directed by of New York's Mark Schoenberg. (Schoenberg is best known for his work as a director in the forefront of avant-guard theater in Alberta along with the very highly esteemed, late Sir John Neville. )Of her role in TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE The Next Generation, Joe Leydon from VARIETY's Joe Leydon proclaimed her to be "...the most amazingly sexy and sexy sociopath to grace the screens since Linda Fiorentino steamed up THE LAST SEDUCTION." Abbie Bernstein of DRAMA-LOGUE wrote, "Perensky is terrific as Darla the sexy real estate agent who is engaged in a romantic relationship with Vilmer (MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY," (who is her lover in the film.)Ms. Perensky took a long hiatus from her acting career due to a tragedy in her family. Recently, Perensky was in discussions for an appearance in a sought-after film that will begin filming in August 2015.
