Suicide of Ronnie McNutt

 McNutt began a livestream on Facebook on August 31st in 2020. Joshua Steen, his best friend, viewed the livestream. While he initially thought it was to be normal because McNutt previously had livestreamed before but he was shocked to find out that McNutt was drunk and was holding a single shot gun. Steen was rumored to have attempted to intervene multiple times, particularly when McNutt failed to fire his shotgun. Steen then hoped that Facebook would shut down the stream and shut down the live stream. The stream was blocked from entering McNutt's house and Steen was seeking help from police. Facebook did not stop the stream, claiming that the stream was not in breach of its rules. Heavy reports suggest that although Facebook initially was unable to block McNutt's suicide plan and then failure, it eventually allowed the stream to be posted through its platform. McNutt's cell phone was constantly ringing as the video stream continued to grow. McNutt got a call from his ex-girlfriend. He responded to. The call resulted in a brief argument between them. After his ex-girlfriend had left at McNutt's cell and he responded, "Hey guys! That's it!" After which he began to commit suicide under his chin, McNutt's best friend's dog walked through the doorway. The shot cut his face in two and blew his face. Different parties were able to record the stream. 8. New Albany Police Department was called to the scene, however, they were not allowed to go into McNutt's home until the day after his death. Police Chief Chris Robertson had secured McNutt's area and tried to reach McNutt via speakerphone.
