Self-esteem

 Self-esteem is a belief in one's capabilities and self-worth. Self-esteem is a belief about oneself(e.g "I have been loved", or "I'm worthy") and also as feelings like joy or despair, and even confidence. Smith and Mackie (2007) defined the concept as "The self-concept" that is the way we perceive ourselves. Self-esteem refers to our self-evaluations or beliefs about our own self-worth. Self-esteem is a mental concept that predicts specific outcomes such as academic achievement as well as happiness in marriage and relationships, as well as criminal behavior. Psychologists believe that self-esteem is an unaffected personality trait (trait-self-esteem) however there are also regular, temporary variations. Self-esteem is often referred to as a synonym or near-synonym include self-worth, selfregard Self-esteem, self-respect and self-integrity.
