Samuel Eto'o

 Samuel Eto'o Fils, a Cameroonian football manager who was also an ex-player and is the current head of the Cameroonian Football Federation. He was born on March 10, 1981. When he was at his best Eto'o was regarded as to be one of the best strikers around the globe. He was awarded the African Player Award record four times in 2003, 2005 as well as in 2005 and in 2010. An incredibly talented player at the age of 16, Eto'o moved to Real Madrid. He was frequently loaned out to other players due to the fierce competition for his spot. The year 2000 saw he signed with Mallorca and scored 70 goals. He was a star player when he was signed by Barcelona in 2004 and scored 130 goals over five seasons. He also recorded the record for the playing the most games of an African player in La Liga. He was crowned La Liga three times and was an integral player in the Barcelona attack. Eto'o scored in the final. In 2009, he was a part of a trio consisting comprising Lionel Messi, Thierry Henry Eto'o scored a second time during the final. Eto'o is the only player to score in both UEFA Champions League finals. He placed third in the FIFA World Player of the year in Barcelona in 2005. He was also selected for the FIFA FIFPro World XI in 2005 and 2006. In 2009-2010 the season he joined Inter Milan, where he became the first European player to earn two continental triples. Following Marcel Desailly and Paulo Sousa and Gerard Pique who won the trophy twice in Champions League history with different teams, Eto'o joined Inter Milan during the 2009-10 season. He was a prolific player during the Super Lig with Antalyaspor, scoring 44 goals in 76 league games. He received the Golden Foot Award in 2015. As an official Cameroon national soccer player Eto'o was a part of the team that took home the Gold Medal at the 2000 Olympics. He also won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2002 and 2000. Eto'o was a part of six Africa Cup of Nations and four World Cups. With his 18 goals he's the Africa Cup of Nations' most prolific scorer. The Cameroon team is the third-highest scorer, scoring 56 goals in the 118 caps. In August of 2014, Eto'o announced he would be retiring from international football.
