Sally Nugent

 Her first media role was at BBC Radio Merseyside before moving into reporting and read the sport news for BBC North West Tonight. In 2003, she was an sports reporter for BBC News, appearing on national bulletins. Later, she became a sports news presenter on the BBC News Channel (known at the time as BBC News 24). Then she traveled to Germany for the 2006 FIFA World Cup, anchoring Sportsday from there. Nugent then spent a period as a news reporter on radio and television and as a backup presenter for the BBC News Channel.In November of 2011, Nugent began co-presenting BBC Breakfast on a part-time basis, filling in for host presenters were unavailable. After the move to Media City, Salford in April 2012, Nugent started co-presenting sports bulletins for Breakfast. After appearing on Christmas Eve 2012 with Bill Turnbull, she established herself as a regular presenter on Breakfast. She continued to report on the historic victory of Emma Raducanu in the US Open tennis tournament.
