Lawrence Gene David (born July 2nd, 1947) is a famous American comedian, writer, actor and television producer. Seinfeld and David created the sitcom Seinfeld. David was the head writer and executive producer for the initial seven seasons. Additional recognition was received with the HBO series Curb Your Enthusiasm. He created it and stars as an actor in a fictionalized version. He has written or co-written the plot of each episode since its pilot episode, which aired in 1999.David's work on Seinfeld won the show two Primetime Emmy Awards in 1993 in the categories of Outstanding Comedy Series as well as Outstanding Individual Achievement in the field of writing for the field of a Comedy Series. The comedian was also a comic prior to when becoming a television comedian. He was a writer and actor on ABC's Fridays, and occasionally wrote for Saturday Night Live. He has been nominated for 27 Primetime Emmy Awards, and three Golden Globe Awards. In an British poll, he was voted the 23rd most popular comedian. He also won the Laurel Award of TV Writing Achievement from the Writers Guild of America in 2010. In 2015, he has been a frequent guest for Saturday Night Live.
