Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis

 Jacqueline Lee Kennedy Onassis (nee Bouvier) was a famous American socialite and author. She was the first lady of the United States between 1961 and 1963, as the wife of President John F. Kennedy. She was a renowned first lady who captured the hearts of American by her devotion to her family and dedication to the preservation of historic landmarks. Her distinctive fashion choices have made her a global icon throughout her lifetime. Bouvier received her degree from George Washington University with a Bachelor's degree in Arts in French Literature in the year 1951. Bouvier began working as an photographer who was inquiring for the Washington Times-Herald in 1952. 2] She was introduced to John Kennedy, then Congressman, at an Washington dinner party later that year. The couple was wed in Newport, Rhode Island on September 12th, 1953. The couple had four children and two of them passing away in the early years of their lives. The Kennedy's husband was elected president in the year 1960. Kennedy was well-known for her restoration of the White House, emphasis on the culture and fashion. Kennedy also traveled across the world and her proficiency in the history of her country and the languages she spoke was a huge draw for her. She was just 31 when her husband was inaugurated.
