Heidi

 Two brothers resided in the town of Dorfil. Two brothers resided in the village of Dorfil. The elder one spent his fortune drinking and gambling and the younger one left to join the Italian Army in Naples. Tobias returns to his home with his son. The locals ridicule his character and spread stories about his time in Naples. Tobias is known as the Alm Uncle because he is the only person living in the mountains of Alm. Tobias is a friend of Dete and Adelheid. Dete is a maid in a hotel, will be the job that Dete is offered as she grows older. Adelheid and Tobias are carpenters. Their daughter was given the name Adelheid however, Heidi is often referred to as Heidi. After the death of Tobias during a work accident, Adelheid succumbs to shock. This is an egregious attack on God by the Alm-Uncle. Heidi was raised initially by her maternal grandmother in Maienfeld and Dete. Dete is offered an offer to work as a maid in the city. She brings Heidi five years old to the house of her grandfather's paternal grandparents higher up the mountain Dorfil. ('small village' in Swiss German). He was in conflict with the villager and was angry with God for a long time. He is now living on his own at the Alm and is known as "The Alm Uncle'. While he initially isn't thrilled by Heidi's visit, his obvious ability to think and his cheerful, yet non-affected manner quickly win him his sincere, even reserved affection. Heidi quickly becomes acquaintance with her new neighbors: Peter, Brigitte, the mother of the goatherd's son and his grandmother, who is blind. Every season passes, and Heidi grows closer to her mountaintop neighbors Peter as well as his mother. The grandfather isn't letting Heidi go to school, and is in a fight with the schoolmaster and the pastor. Heidi becomes illiterate.
