After taking part in the 1996 Mister World contest, in Istanbul, Turkey, Gabriel began modeling at the age of 18. He was the first runner up. In 1997, Gabriel joined the band Kairo replacing Eduardo Verastegui. Gabriel joined Kairo in 1997, replacing Eduardo Verastegui. He also appeared alongside Sandra Echeverria and Juan Ferrara in the telenovela. In 2012, he appeared alongside Querida Enemiga on Un Refugio para el Amor. In 2013, he appeared alongside Gloria Trevi in the role of Rodrigo Torreslanda. His last starring role in the telenovela Yo creo en los men, which was widely acclaimed.
