 Ashley Elizabeth Flieh(born April 5 April, 1986) is an American professional wrestler. She is a member of WWE and performs in the SmackDown brand under the Ring name Charlotte Flair. She is currently the SmackDown Women's champion in her seventh consecutive record-setting run. Flair became an official wrestler for the first time in 1993 along with her father Ric Flair. In 2012, she began her training with WWE and made her debut in NXT in the year following. In 2014, she was named the Rookie of the Year by Pro Wrestling Illustrated (PWI),[15and was promoted to the main roster in 2015. and was promoted to WWE's main roster in 2015. In the year 2016, PWI readers voted Flair Woman of the Year and Top Female Professional Wrestler.Flair is 14 times world champion for women, having been the holder of the WWE Divas Championship once, the Raw Women's Championship a record six times and the SmackDown Women's Championship a record seven times. She also holds the NXT Women's Championship twice and the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship one time, which makes her a Triple Crown Champion and Grand Slam Champion. Flair also won the Royal Rumble match in 2020. She became the first woman, along with Sasha Banks, to headline a WWE pay-per-view event in October of 2016. The match between her and Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey at 2019's WrestleMania 35 marked the first time that a women's match had headlined the WWE's biggest event.Early lifeAshley Elizabeth Fliehr was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, on April 5, 1986 to Ric Flair and then his wife Elizabeth Harrell. [17] She has an older half-sister, Megan, as well as an older half-brother named David as well as a younger brother Reid died on the 29th of March 2013. 3 Fliehr has won two NCHSAA 4 A-State championships in volleyball at Providence High School and was the captain of the team and player of the year in 2004-2005. She attended Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, playing volleyball during 2005 and the 2006 seasons[19prior to transferring to North Carolina State University, where she graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Science in public relations in the spring of 2008.
