Casey Neistat

Neistat first gained international exposure in 2003 through a short film called iPod's Dirty Secret, criticizing Apple for not offering a battery replacement program for their iPod range of media players that are portable. The film received national media attention and attracted broad attention to the company's policy on iPod battery replacements. The film was posted to the Internet on September 20, 2003, and quickly attracted media attention. The Washington Post praised the film as "wonderfully renegade". Apple announced a policy for replacing batteries in November 2003 [1919." Neil Cavuto called the change "David and Goliath" on Fox News's Your World. Apple spokesperson Natalie Sequeira said there was no link between the release of the film and the revised policy. She added that the revisions had been in place for a number of months prior to the film's release.
