 In 2003, the three-minute film iPod's Dirty Secret gained international attention. The film criticized Apple for not offering an alternative program for its iPod media players. The film received national media attention and brought wide attention to Apple's policy towards iPod battery replacements.The film was released to the Internet on September 20, 2003 and quickly attracted media attention. The Washington Post praised the film as "wonderfully rebellious". Fox News posted the clip on September 20th, 2003. Neil Cavuto called the story as a "David Goliath & David" report on Fox News's Your World. Apple spokeswoman Natalie Sequeira denied any connection between the film and the new policy. She said that the revision to the policy had been in the works for months before the film was released
