Bobby Lee

Before becoming a comedian, Lee worked in various cafes and restaurants. The cafe which he worked at was abruptly shut down in 1994. He claimed that he had just moved across the street to work in The Comedy Store in San Diego (also called the name of La Jolla Comedy Store). After working for a few months and deciding to try his hand at taking on stand-up comedy at one of the nightclubs for amateurs. After one year of regular comedy shows, Lee was offered the possibility of opening for Carlos Mencia and Pauly Shore. Lee stated that his parents did not support his stand-up comedy in the first couple of years. But his father contacted his name after he was featured on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. The younger brother has also been featured on MADtv as a non-speaking character and the entire family has appeared appearing in sketches on the show. Lee proposed an unscripted sitcom about the lives of a Korean family to Comedy Central in 2007. He was scheduled to host the 9th MusiCares MAP Fund Benefit Concert in 2013.
