Bill Cowher

 William Laird Cowher (born May 8th 1957) is an American sports analyst, former football player as well as coach. Following a six-year playing career as a linebacker for the National Football League (NFL) and later as a head coach in the NFL for 15 seasons for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He began his coaching career as an assistant under Marty Schottenheimer for the Cleveland Browns and Kansas City Chiefs, serving as the defensive coordinator of the latter between 1989 and 1991. Cowher was named the head coach of the Steelers in 1992, whom managed until his departure at the end of the 2006 season. Cowher quit and became a part of The NFL Today as a studio analyst. Under his leadership, Pittsburgh won eight division championships and two AFC Championship Games. Cowher's Super Bowl victory marked the first championship win for the team in more than two decades and the first one not achieved by Chuck Noll, his predecessor. Cowher was the Steelers' postseason coach for 10 games, which included six consecutive appearances after 1992, when he took over the team. This led to Cowher the only NFL head coaching to reach the playoffs in six of his six seasons, following Paul Brown. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2020.
