 Angelina Jolie[4]DCMG (/dZoU’li / born Angelina Jolie Voight on June 4 in 1975) is an American actress. She is also a filmmaker human rights activist, as well as former Special Envoy for the UN High Commissioner For Refugees. She has been the recipient of numerous accolades including the Academy Award and three Golden Globe Awards, she has been named Hollywood's highest-paid actress multiple times.Jolie made her screen debut as a young girl with her father, Jon Voight, in"Lookin' to Get Out" (1982) as well as her film career started in full-time mode a decade later, with the low-budget production Cyborg 2 (1993), then her first lead role in a major film, Hackers (1995). She was the main character in biographical cable movies George Wallace (1997) and Gia (1998). In 1999, she won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for Girl, Interrupted. She was a star in Lara Croft, Tomb Raider (2001) in which she played the lead role of the video game's heroine. Her action-star career continued with Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005), Wanted (2008), Salt (2010) as well as The Tourist (2010), and was praised by critics for her performance in the dramatic films A Mighty Heart (2007) and Changeling (2008) and Changeling (2008). The latter of which earned her a nomination for an Academy Award for Best Actress. Her biggest commercial success came with the fantasy picture Maleficent (2014). In 2008, she has been able to reprise her voice-overs in animated film Kung Fu Panda include the role as voice actor. Jolie has also written and directed several war-themed dramas, including In the Land of Blood and Honey (2011), Unbroken (2014), and The Day They Killed My Father (2017). Jolie played Thena in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's superhero movie Eternals in 2021.
