Angela Mellissa Griffin, a British actress and TV presenter, was born on the 19th of July 1976. Her appearances include Fiona Middleton, a British presenter and actress, on the ITV soap drama Coronation Street (1992-1998), Kim Campbell in BBC One's drama series Waterloo Road (2006), from 2009 to 2010 (2023-present), Lizzie Maddox in ITV's last two seasons of the detective drama Lewis (2014)-2015. Griffin was also a founding actor in the series Holby City as Jasmine Hopkins as who was a nurse (1999-2001). She was a student at Intake High School in Leeds. She was born on the Cottingley Estate near Beeston. Her parents were an English mother and an St Kitts father. Griffin was a character in Coronation Street, a long-running ITV soap show. She also appeared as a guest on the show in the year 2019. Griffin was an unimportant character named Tina in Emmerdale's 1993 ITV soap show. Then, she was placed on the BBC One medical drama series Holby City in the role of Tina, a minor character. But, she resigned from the show at the end of 2001 due to the fact that the next season was expected to be longer. Griffin was also a part of the BBC dramas Cutting It, and Down to Earth. In October 2001, Griffin was the host of Brown Britain on Channel 4 UK. From 2006 until the year 2010, Griffin was a co-star with Jason Merrells, a former Cutting It star and Denise Welch's Coronation Street co-star in the BBC One drama series Waterloo Road. Following a brief hiatus in the third series, it was the latter half of 2007 and early the year 2008, she returned to her role. She was back in the part in the fourth series of the year 2009. Then she left following the fifth series however, she returned to the role in 2009 to host her new Sky1 daytime show, Angela and Friends. The show, which included celebrities' gossip and health issues was on from November 2009 until July 2010. Her closest acquaintances Lisa Faulkner, Nicola Stephenson and her son were on hand to help her. The 8th time she hosted The Midweek National Lottery in 1999, and was a part of New Year's Eve's BBC millennium show. She also filmed a pilot for Dishes for Channel 4 but she decided not to air it once it was ordered. In March 2008, Griffin was present on Murder Most Famous where she together with five other famous people created a novel about crime under the direction by Minette Walters. The prize at the end was to have the winning novel published. Sherrie Hewson, who was a former Coronation Street actor, was awarded the prize. In January of 2010, Griffin and Gethin jointly presented Sky 1's coverage of the Golden Globes. Griffin was part of the initial two seasons of Sky's comedy drama Mount Pleasant. She also hosted Emergency on Sky1 alongside Angela Griffin. Griffin was among three contestants in The Great Sport Relief Bake Off on BBC Two in January 2012. In 2013, Griffin played Dolly, in the show One Man, Two Guvnors. Griffin was a part of ITV's Lewis series as DS Lizzie Maddox, both in 2014 and 2015. 12 Griffin as well as Kian Emgan were the hosts of Fat Pets: Slimmer of the Year between 5 and 9 January, 2015. Griffin played the role of Elizabeth Harvey on the third season of Harlots. Griffin as well as Matt Baker co-hosted The One Show on BBC One in September 2018. Griffin also played the part as Stevie Hall, a Canadian detective in October of 2018. Griffin hosted BBC Radio 2's Unwinds beginning in August 2021. Griffin started appearing in Sunday Love Songs as a substitute for Steve Wright in September 2021. In January 2022, it was revealed that Griffin will reprise her role as Kim Campbell on a new series based on Waterloo Road. Her character was promoted to Head of School. Griffin was Thea's mother. was the main character in the Netflix Horror movie Choose or Die.
