Alba Baptista began her career at the age of 16 when she played the lead character in Simao Cayatte's short film Miami. She was awarded the Festival Iberico de Cine Best Actress Award for her performance. Her career was further developed by appearances in the Portuguese show A Criacao and the telenovelas A Impostora and Jogo Duplo.During the next few period, Alba developed a strong film career in Portugal, as well as appearing in roles on three well-known Portuguese series. Her film credits include: Caminhos Magnetykos by Edgar Pera and in which she played "Catarina"; and Equinocio from Ivo Ferreira. In 2019, she starred in the film Patrick The Directorial Debut of Goncalo Waddington, and which was a part of the competition at San Sebastian International Film Festival in which it was premiered. She was in Fatima in 2020, which was the first directorial debut of Goncalo Wddington. It was a competition at San Sebastian International Film Festival, which was where it debuted.
